PTO

nbkc is happy  to offer a generous paid time off program. Employees start accruing from day one. We believe that employees who are refreshed and recharged are the most productive, so get out there and have some fun!

*Part Time employee’s PTO accruals vary based on employee’s scheduled hours. Employees may roll over 40 hours of PTO into the next year.  Rolled over time must be used in the next year and will not rollover into the following year.

nbkc is delighted to give employees a well-deserved day off to celebrate their birthday.  Take this time to relax and do something.  Employees will be able to see this in ADP as a “Birthday PTO” that can be used whenever it works best.

VOLUNTEER TIME OFF

Community involvement is an important aspect of our culture at nbkc bank. Because we support nbkc’ers giving back, each employee is granted 8 hours of Volunteer Time Off annually. Time can be used at one time, or broken up over many volunteer initiatives. The time off can only be used during a normal work day. Keep an eye on the Give Back Club for quarterly volunteer opportunities.

Your manager will notify you if that is the case. For employees that work on this day, you will receive Floating Holiday hours to use in 2026 or 2027. Please mark your hours accordingly on your timecard, with manager approval.  HR will take care of awarding the Floating Holiday hours.

New Year’s Eve – Branch locations and Corporate Office will close at 3pm

All active regular full-time employees and part-time employees scheduled more than 20 hours per week are eligible to receive paid holidays.  For part-time employees, the paid holiday is equal to the employee’s average daily work hours (scheduled weekly hours divided by five).  Temporary Employees do not receive company paid holidays.

If management determines there is a business need for an employee to work on a holiday, the employee’s manager may request that the employee is not paid holiday time but is credited with floating holiday time to be taken at a later date.  Floating holiday time must be used by year end, or it will be forfeited.

Future holidays and unused floating holiday time will not be paid out upon separation of employment.
